(UPDATE:) Nine new cases in Guelph Tuesday, two in Wellington County

Public Health has now vaccinated 40 per cent of the eligible population in the region

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has confirmed nine new cases of COVID in Guelph on Tuesday and two more in Wellington County.

There was a death in Wellington County, the 36th overall but the first fatality connected with COVID since February.

WDG Public Health vaccinations: 101,898 at least one dose (39.9 per cent of target); 108,657 total doses; 1,532 doses given Monday.

WDG Public Health hospitalizations: 12 in acute care and 14 in ICU (as of April 29).
