GUELPH – On March 7, 2016 at approximately 7:50 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road, Guelph. 

Police observed a male driving a 2009 Pontiac northbound well above the posted speed limit. 

The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 178 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. 

His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.

21-year-old Jacob Seibel of Kitchener has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. 

He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 16, 2016 to answer to the charge.

GUELPH – On March 7, 2016 at approximately 10:39 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was watching traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road, Guelph and observed a northbound 2014 Mazda driving above the posted speed limit. 

The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 133 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. 

His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.

30-year-old Theodore Bagnatgo of Markham has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. 

He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 16, 2016 to answer to the charge.
