An intern at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph was injured on Tuesday.
The University of Guelph confirmed the incident happened around 5:30 p.m.
An intern was walking a horse back to its stall following surgery, when the animal collapsed and pinned them against a wall.
The intern was taken to hospital and later released. They are said to be "doing well."
The OVC is looking into the incident and will be monitoring the intern's condition.
The horse is in stable condition.
