WDG Public Health reaches milestone by vaccinating 80% of eligible population

As of Tuesday morning, Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has vaccinated 80 per cent of its eligible population over the age of 18. 

This means  198,375 people have been vaccinated with their first COVID-19 vaccination dose bringing WDG Public Health to Step 3 of its vaccination target set by the province. 

Right now, nearly 56 per cent of eligible residents (138,536) over the age of 18 have been vaccinated with their second dose. 

June saw the highest number of vaccination doses to date with 136,889 vaccine doses administered. 

The region reported no new cases on Tuesday and has 45 active cases.
