Friday

Easter egg hunt

The Elliott Community (170 Metcalfe St.); 8:15 a.m.

Easter egg hunt featuring the Easter bunny, face painting and real bunnies. Cost is $5 per child for the hunt. Registration starts at 8:15 a.m. and the hunt starts at 9 a.m. 

Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs & their Families

Centennial Park (375 College Ave. W.); Register at 10 a.m., event starts at 11 a.m.

A fundraiser for National Service Dogs, this hunt is to include thousands of colourful eggs filled with prize stickers and a dog treat, spread over a defined park area. Cost is $20 to $25 per family. More information can be found here.

Saturday

Guelph Farmers' Market

2 Gordon St.; 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Check out an abundance of fresh produce, baked goods, beverages, and products from local meat producers. 

Rockwood Egg Hunt

139 Pasmore St., Rockwood; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This Easter egg hunt explores the businesses of Rockwood. Starting at Humble and Hari, participants will move from shop to shop receiving an egg with instructions to the next shop as well as a small token. Registration ahead of time is requested and can be done here.

Eramosa River Trail parkrun and parkwalk

Eramosa River Trail, 85 York Rd.; 9 a.m. - noon

The free weekly timed 5K run, jog or walk kicks off just east of the covered wooden bridge near The Boathouse. Newcomers are encouraged to join at 8:45 a.m. 

Central Church Easter Egg Hunt

Central Church (7674 Colborne St., Elora); 10 a.m. to noon

Free Easter egg hunt with pony rides, bouncy castles, face painting, wagon rides and more.

Community Easter Egg Hunt at Grace

35 Farley Rd., Fergus; 10 a.m.

Free outdoor Easter egg hunt for children up to 10 years old. Bring your own basket.

Easter egg hunt

St. George's Park (40 Metcalfe St.); 10 a.m.

This is the 19th annual Easter egg hunt in the park. Registration is required due to limited spaces. $5 per child which includes eight hidden eggs. Bring your own basket. More information can be found here.

Pysanky: The Ukrainian Art of Wax Painting on Eggs

Guelph Civic Museum (52 NORFOLK ST.); 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Led by newcomers Olha and Nataliia, workshop participants will work with melted wax and dyes as they decorate an egg in Ukrainian technique with a tool known as a “pysachok.” Cost is $20 plus tax. More information can be found here.
