The third annual Bike the Night event from the Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation is set for Sept. 9.

Friday, Sept. 8

Welly Cask Fest

Wellington Brewery 950 Woodlawn Road West in Guelph, 6 p.m. - 11 p.m.

The festival will feature 25+ cask beers and ciders at each session including unique one-off creations, guest features from celebrated brewers across Ontario, and one-of-a-kind collaborations. The weekend will also feature delicious food from the region's best food trucks, live music, Queen of Craft Beer Olympics, an oyster bar, and plenty of surprises.

Tickets for each session of Welly Cask Fest include a Welly Cask Fest sampling glass, 5 x 4oz tokens and a shuttle bus to and from the brewery to downtown Guelph.

Guelph Farmer's Market

2 Gordon St. 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Check out an abundance of fresh produce, baked goods, beverages, and products from local meat producers

Eramosa River Trail parkrun

Royal City Park (The Boathouse) 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Eramosa River Trail parkrun is a free weekly timed 5km run, jog or walk. It takes place at Eramosa River Trail, just east of the covered wooden bridge near The Boathouse in Guelph. For more information visit here.

Clogs and Clockwork Fergus Steampunk Festival

Downtown Fergus, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The event includes a fashion show, circus performers, teapot races, a scavenger hunt, and more. Provost Lane will also be set up for artist demos and book readings.

This is a family-friendly event aimed to introduce and share the creativity of the steampunk community and to show locals and guests a truly wonderful time.

Third Annual Bike the Night

Market Square 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

The awareness-raising, community event will begin and end at Market Square, in front of city hall.

The event will run from 7 to 10 p.m., with the ride itself setting off at 8 p.m. Helmets are mandatory for riders younger than 18 and strongly recommended for adults as well.

Sunday, Sept. 10

35th annual Eden Mills Writer's Festival

Village of Eden Mills. 12 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The festival will feature 48 Canadian authors sharing their recently released books through panel discussions, interviews, readings and more.

Comedy Stage Hypnosis

Guelph Little Theatre 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Prepare to be captivated by the astonishing power of suggestion as you witness the incredible world of hypnosis unfold before your very eyes. Performed by Frank Le, the unique stage show invites brave volunteers from the audience to experience the transformative effects of hypnosis firsthand.
