In a video posted to OPP West Region's Twitter page, Wellington OPP media officer Joshua Cunningham said a 34-year-old driver from East Garafraxa has been charged with careless driving from this incident. No injuries were reported
He said police responded around 6:30 a.m. to a report of a single vehicle collision where a flatbed truck struck a hydro pole, impacting electricity services in the area. Hydro One's outage map shows 118 customers in the area are without power with a 4 p.m. estimated restoration time.
This section of Wellington Road 18 will be closed until further notice.

ABOYNE -- Local OPP have closed a county road connecting Elora and Fergus after a collision took out a hydro pole.
Tuesday morning shortly after 7, Wellington OPP closed Wellington Road 18 between Canrobert Street and Charles Allen Way due to a collision.
A Twitter post by OPP West Region shows a truck near a damaged hydro pole.
The road is expected to be closed for most of the day.
