Woman nabbed doing twice the speed limit in town

A Guelph woman was taken off the road for 30 days after she was caught Sunday driving twice the speed limit.

Sunday afternoon, a member of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit was conducting speed enforcement in the area of Edinburgh Road South and Wilsonview Avenue when he clocked a vehicle travelling 100 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.

The 20-year-old driver was charged with stunt driving and speeding. Her driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and her vehicle was seized for 14 days.
