GUELPH/WELLINGTON – Local mental health organizations will jointly host a community discussion around youth wellness with leading officials on the topic.
On Sept. 13, the Grove Wellington-Guelph, the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo-Wellington and the Children’s Foundation of Guelph Wellington will host a forum on youth mental health at the Frank Hasenfratz Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing.
The discussion will feature opening remarks by Michael Tibollo, minister of mental health and addiction, and Joanna Henderson, executive director of Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario along with officials from the hosting organizations.
“Through this forum, the hope is to normalize asking for help and help our community learn how to build resiliency, what services are available and how to access what youth need when they need them,” a news release stated.
Pre-registration for the event is open on a first-come-first-serve basis here.
The forum will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13 with registration at 7:30 a.m. and official programming running from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 700 Woodlawn Rd. W. in Guelph.
