5-hit night from Collymore helps Royals to victory

With a win over Brantford, Guelph extends its winning streak to four games in the process

Guelph’s win streak reached four games with Friday’s 10-4 win over Brantford at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

Malik Collymore went 5-for-6 with an RBI and two runs to lead the Royals (19-9). Ethan Hammond had three hits, three runs and an RBI, Sean Reilly went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run, while Dalton Pompey, Claudio Custodio, Darius Barlas, Brian Sewell, Brendan Keys and Kyle Kush all drove in a run.

Brandon Deans (3-2) went six innings for the win, allowing a run on six hits with three walks and eight strikeouts.

Jesse Fishbaum led the Red Sox (2-26) with three hits and two RBI. Jamiel Orozco and Andre Wojarowicz each had two hits and a run, and Evan Ryan and Colton Fountain both drove in a run.

Bennett Moore (0-8) was pulled with one out in the sixth after allowing six runs (four earned) on 10 hits. He walked one and fanned six.
