Another third period letdown for Guelph Storm

KINGSTON – For the second consecutive night the Guelph Storm allowed three goals in the third period, falling 4-2 to the Kingston Frontenacs.

Guelph took a 2-1 lead into the third thanks to goals by Max Namestnikov, a breakaway goal in the first period, and Jett Luchanko, a rebound tally in the middle frame.

But Kingston's Jacob Holmes tied things up at 7:22 of the third then Owen Outwater scored the eventual winner at the 16:02 mark. An empty net goal iced the win for the home side.

Damian Slavik started in net for Guelph, facing 35 shots. Guelph had just 16 shots on Mason Vaccari at the other end.

The Storm hosts the Flint Firebirds Friday night.
