Former Toronto Raptor Lucas Nogueira scored just two points in his Guelph Nighthawks debut as the locals fell 94-89 to the Scarborough Shooting Stars Thursday in Scarborough.
It was Guelph's fourth consecutive loss.
Nogueira, a former first round NBA draft pick, played 20 minutes, hit one of five field goals, pulled in a team-best seven rebounds and added four assists. He also blocked three shots.
Ahmed Hill and Cat Barber led the Nighthawks with 25 points apiece, which for Hill included five three pointers.
Guelph is 6-7 on the season, sitting in seventh place in the 10-team Canadian Elite Basketball League standings.
Guelph plays at Niagara on Saturday and hosts Montreal on Wednesday at the Sleeman Centre. Game time is 7 p.m.
