Friday's Guelph Storm game at the Sleeman Centre against the Erie Otters has been postponed after 13 Otters players tested positive for COVID, the OHL announced Wednesday.

"In accordance with established protocols, the OHL today announced that the Erie Otters Hockey Club has suspended all team activities as a result of 13 players having tested positive for COVID-19. All players affected are currently asymptomatic or exhibiting mild symptoms and the League and team will continue to monitor their well-being," said a statement from the league.

"Neither the OHL or the Erie Otters Hockey Club will be identifying affected individuals, and the League will provide an update regarding future games along with the rescheduling of above match-ups as information becomes available," said the release.

Erie's game scheduled at home against the Kitchener Rangers has also been postponed.

Both games will be rescheduled.

Guelph wraps up the pre-Christmas portion of its schedule with a game Saturday afternoon against the London Knights. Game time is 2 p.m.
