Gryphons run over U of T for second straight win

TORONTO - Johnny Augustine rushed for two touchdowns and Jacob Scarfone caught a pair as the Guelph Gryphons hammered the University of Toronto Blues 43-6 at Varsity Stadium Saturday.

The win improves Guelph's record to 2-2 on the season.

Guelph led 10-0 after one quarter and 20-5 after a pair as the U of T could only manage 157 yards in total offence against the Guelph defence.

James Roberts passed for 333 yards on 18-of-27 passing, with no interceptions. Augustine finished with 86 yards on the ground and as a team Guelph rushed for 177 yards.

Gabe Ferraro kicked five field goals.

Defensively the Gryphs were led by Luke Korol who had eight solo tackles and a sack.

Guelph's next game is Sept. 23 when they take on the McMaster Marauders in the Homecoming game.
