Guelph Storm 2017-18 schedule released

Two of first five games against Memorial Cup champions

The Guelph Storm will play two of its first five games next season against the Memorial Cup champion Windsor Spitfires.

On Tuesday the Ontario Hockey League released its official 2017-18 schedule.

Guelph, which opens the regular season at home on Sept. 22 against the Sarnia Sting, will play 20 Friday night home games, nine on Sunday, two on Saturday and one each on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

They play in Windsor on Sept. 24 and Windsor comes to Guelph on Oct. 6.

The Storm does not play on Thanksgiving or New Year's Day this season. On New Year's eve they play in Sudbury.

On Family Day, Monday, Feb. 19, they host the Erie Otters.

The regular season ends on March 17 with a game in Erie.

Season tickets are currently on sale. Individual game tickets go on sale Aug. 22. Mini-packs go on sale July 4.
