SARNIA – The Guelph Storm just ruined Easter dinner plans for a lot of its fans Sunday.

The Storm forced a Game 6 at the Sleeman Centre Sunday afternoon with a gutsy 3-1 win over the Sarnia Sting Friday night in Sarnia.

Guelph, once down 3-0 in the best-of-seven OHL opening round playoff series, now trail 3-2. Game time Sunday is 2 p.m.

Patrick Leaver was rock solid in the Storm net, making 32 saves.

Former Sting Max Namestnikov scored what would turn out to be the winning goal late in the second period, when Ben McFarlane won the puck in the corner then spotted Namestnikov in the slot for a wrist shot that beat Sting netminder Ben Gaudreau glove-side.

Jake Murray provided the insurance with an empty-net goal with a minute left in the game.

Jake Karabela had given Guelph a 1-0 lead early in the second, then Sarnia's Zach Filak tied it up midway through the middle frame.

Sarnia outshot Guelph 33-17 on the night.
