Guelph Storm shows some power in big road win

Guelph connects for thee power play goals in a 4-1 win over North Bay

NORTH BAY – Jett Luchanko had a goal and two assists and Brayden Gillespie made 34 saves as the Guelph Storm skated to a 4-1 win over the North Bay Battalion Thursday night.

Three of the Storm goals came on the power play while North Bay went 0-for-8 eight with the man advantage.

 

That included a five-minute major in the final five minutes of the game when Guelph's Ryan McGuire was given a five-minute boarding penalty and a game misconduct.

Luchanko, Jake Karabela and Max Namestnikov had the power play goals and Vilmer Alriksson had the even strength goal for the Storm. Michael Buchinger had two assists.

Guelph is now 7-3 on the season and sit in third place in the Western Conference.

They play in Sudbury Friday night and host Ottawa on Sunday afternoon.
