Guelph Storm snaps eight-game losing streak

OWEN SOUND - The Guelph Storm snapped its eight-game losing streak in style Saturday afternoon, downing the Owen Sound Attack 8-3 at the Bayshore Community Centre.

It’s the most goals the Storm has scored in three seasons.

Eight different players scored for Guelph: Cedric Ralph, Alexey Toropchenko, Barret Kirwin, James McEwan, Isaac Ratcliffe, Zach Poirier, Keegan Stevenson and Liam Hawel.

Eleven of the 15 skaters dressed by Guelph recorded at least one point.

Ralph also had two assists to lead the team with a three-point game.

Anthony Popovich was outstanding, particularly when the score was close early in the game, and ended up making 43 saves.

Guelph will host the Kitchener Rangers Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
