ERIE, PA. – The Guelph Storm managed just 23 shots on net Thursday in a 3-0 loss to the Erie Otters.
The school day game started at 11 a.m.
Erie goaltender Charlie Burns, making just his third start of the season, recorded the shutout. It is the fourth time this season Guelph has been shutout.
The Otters scored once in each period, all at even strength, as they went 0-for-5 on the power play. Guelph went 0-for-4.
Malcolm Spence, Brett Bressette and Spencer Sova had the Erie goals.
Guelph sits in fifth place in the Western Conference standings, three points ahead of the Owen Sound Attack, with Guelph holding a game in hand.
The Storm visits the Kitchener Rangers Friday night then hosts the London Knights at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
