SARNIA – Charlie Paquette scored twice in regulation and Sasha Pastujov scored the lone goal in the shootout to lead the Guelph Storm to a 6-5 win over the Sarnia Sting Wednesday night in Sarnia.

Storm goaltender Dixon Grimes stopped all three Sting shooters in the shootout.

Sarnia had scored twice in the final three minutes of regulation to force the overtime.

Ryan McGuire, Ben McFarlane and Hunter McKnight, with his first OHL goal, had the Storm's other goals as they led 2-1 after one period and 4-3 after two.

Guelph was outshot 35-22, with three of Sarnia's goals coming on the power play.

Nolan Burke had three goals for the Sting.

Guelph was without Braeden Bowman, Valentin Zhugin, Michael Buchinger and Matt Poitras due to injury, illness and suspension.

The Storm is in Sault Ste. Marie on Friday.
