SAGINAW, MI. – Brayden Guy scored a pair of goals as the Guelph Storm hung on for a 5-4 road win over the Saginaw Spirit Sunday.
Guelph jumped out to a 4-0 lead by the two-minute mark of the second period, but Saginaw battled back, making it a one-goal game with the goalie pulled and 54 seconds left on the clock.
But Guelph goaltender Owen Bennett stood tall the rest of the way and Guelph made it three wins in three days.
Jacob Oster started in net for Guelph but was shaken by a high shot midway through the second frame. Oster stayed in the game for a while longer before leaving.
Coach George Burnett said Oster was removed as a precaution and will be re-evaluated in 24-48 hours.
Brayden Bowman, Matt Poitras and Cooper Walker had the other Guelph goals. Cam Allen and Sasha Pastujov each had two assists.
The Storm plays in Windsor on Thursday then hosts Windsor on Friday.
