Guelph swimmer wins bronze at Parapan American Games

Jordan Tucker placed third in the women's 50 metre butterfly S5 event

Guelph’s Jordan Tucker is coming home from the Parapan American Games with some hardware.

The 21-year-old captured bronze in the women’s 50 metre butterfly S5 event in Santiago, Chile, with a time of 54.70 seconds.

This is her first Parapan AM medal.

Tucker, a Mitchell Woods Public School alum, went into the butterfly event shortly after finishing sixth in the women’s 150 metre individual medley SM4.

She still has two events remaining in the pool, competing in the women’s 50 metre freestyle S4 and the women’s 100 metre freestyle S5.
