Hurricanes surrender home-ice advantage

Pair of power play goals gives Elmira the series lead
GUELPH HURRICANES

The Guelph Hurricanes lost home-ice advantage at the Sleeman Centre Tuesday night with a 2-1 loss to the Elmira Sugar Kings.

Elmira now leads the best-of-seven opening round junior B playoff series 2-1. Game 3 goes Wednesday in Elmira. Game 4 is Saturday in Guelph.

All the scoring Tuesday came in the second period and all three goals were on the power play.

Zac Coulter opened the scoring for the visitors at 5:47 and two minutes later Jake Moggy made it 2-0.

Brody Milne got one back for the Canes at 13:51 of the second.

Jonathan Reinhart made 32 saves in the Elmira net and Jason DaSilva made 24 for Guelph.
