One of the Guelph Storm's most successful alumni will be immortalized in a statue by the Los Angeles Kings next season.

Dustin Brown will have his No. 23 retired by the team during a ceremony Feb. 11, and will also unveil a statue of the team's former captain outside Crypto.com Arena, formerly known as the Staples Centre.

Brown scored 325 goals and posted 712 points in 1,296 games, all with LA.

The 18-year veteran, who retired after the Kings' first-round playoff loss to Edmonton in the spring, captained the team to Stanley Cups in 2012 and 2014.

Brown played three seasons with the Guelph Storm (2000-2003), posting 98 goals and 194 points in 174 regular season games.
