KINGSTON – The Guelph Storm started well enough against the Kingston Frontenacs Saturday night, controlling the play for the first half of the first period and jumping out to a 1-0 lead on a Cooper Walker goal.
But it was all downhill after that.
Kingston scored six unanswered goals en route to a 6-1 victory.
Guelph has now given up 30 goals in its first six games (1-4-1-0), the most surrendered by any OHL team.
Kingston led 2-1 after one period and 3-1 after two, scoring twice on the power play. Guelph went 0-for-7 with the man advantage.
Jacob Oster started his sixth consecutive game, giving up all six goals on 35 shots.
The Storm plays in Ottawa Sunday afternoon. Next home game is Friday.
Sasha Pastujov missed the game thanks to a two-game suspension picked up for a slew foot in Friday's home loss.
Chase Coughlan faces a possible suspension after being tossed late in Saturday's game, getting a five-minute major for a head check.
