LONDON – The Guelph Storm dropped a tough one in London Tuesday night.

Up 2-0 in the third period, the London Knights scored a couple of weird goals to tie it, then scored in overtime for the 3-2 win.

George Diaco won it, firing home a wrist shot from the slot seconds after Storm goaltender Brayden Gillespie made a brilliant save following a turnover at the Storm blueline.

Ryan McGuire put Guelph up 1-0 in the first period, tipping a Cedricson Okitundu point shot past Brett Brochu.

Okitundu made it 2-0 early in the second on a blast from the point.

But a pair of goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation tied the game.

Sam Dickinson's shot off the end boards bounced off Gillespie's leg for the first goal, then Ruslan Gazizov poked home a puck that came off the end boards that Gillespie thought he had covered.

The Storm had a great chance to win it on a London penalty over the final two minutes of regulation, but couldn't score.

Gillespie made 30 saves in the Storm net, Brochu made 28 for London.

The Storm is home to the Erie Otters on Friday night.
