Storm defenceman makes Team Canada roster for U-18 championships

Guelph Storm defenseman Cam Allen will be representing Team Canada next week.

He has been chosen as a member of Canada's under-18 roster for the 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, being held in Red Deer, Alberta July 31 to Aug. 6.

Allen, who was named team captain, is coming off winning the OHL's rookie of the year award.

He scored 13 goals and posted 37 points in 65 regular season games with the Storm.

Canada's first game is against Switzerland on Sunday, July 31 at 9 p.m. EDT.
