OWEN SOUND – The Guelph Storm fell behind 3-0 by early in the second period and couldn't recover, falling 6-4 to the Owen Sound Attack on the road Saturday night.

On three separate occasions the Storm managed to get within one goal of their hosts, including Braeden Bowman's second goal of the game that made it 5-4 with 6:29 left in the third period.

But the equalizer never came and Owen Sound scored an empty net goal to finish off the scoring.

Brayden Gillespie faced 39 shots in the Storm net, with three of the goals coming off rebounds and another a shot from a terrible angle Gavin Bryant that found Gillespie leaving his post early in anticipation of a cross-crease pass.

Bowman had two for Guelph, with singles going to Jake Karabela and Michael Buchinger.

Guelph will host  Peterborough on Friday and Kingston on Sunday afternoon.
