For the fourth straight year, the Toronto Argonauts quest for a Grey Cup begins in Guelph.

The CFL team has announced it will hold its 2024 training camp at the University of Guelph, highlighted by a preseason tilt at Alumni Stadium with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on May 31.

Argos rookies will report for a three-day camp on May 8, which will also include veteran quarterbacks.

Rosters get cut down to 85 on May 11, with other veterans getting in their first practice a day later. The roster gets cut down to 75 plus non-counters on May 14.

“This will be our fourth straight year at Guelph, and it truly feels like home” head coach Ryan Dinwiddie said in a news release.

“Everything from the facilities to the accommodations, to the food and the way we are treated is top notch. The University of Guelph gives us every advantage to come together as a team, and we are excited to get going.”

The camp is free to attend for spectators, but the team adds some practices may be closed.

Notification of closed practices will happen at least a day in advance, the team adds.

The Argos are coming off an impressive 16-2 regular season, which ended with a loss in the East Final to the eventual Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes.
