On a regular basis GuelphToday staff will endeavour to answer questions about GuelphToday, a particular story, about why or why not something was or wasn't covered, and pretty much anything else. To kick things off, we'll answer some of the more common questions we get about or site.
Q: Who owns GuelphToday?
A: GuelphToday is owned by Village Media, a digital media company based out of Sault Ste. Marie. We are one of 17 owned and operated online news sites in the company and there are another 21 digital sites across Canada and the United States.
We are not connected in any way, shape or form to any traditional legacy media publications.
Q: How many staff do you have?
A: On the editorial side we have five full-time reporters and a community editor, plus several regular freelance contributors. We also have three full-time advertising representatives. GuelphToday also receives editorial, technical, sales and administrative support from our head office in Sault Ste. Marie.
Q: How do you make money?
A: Primarily though support from local businesses and organizations that advertise with us and also through contributions from readers.
Q: Do you have an office?
