OTTAWA — The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Adam Tambellini to a two-way, one-year contract.
The contract will carry a value of US$650,000 in the NHL and $85,000 in the American Hockey League.
Tambellini, a 23-year-old from Edmonton, scored 16 goals and added 16 assists for 32 points in 69 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack, the AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, last season.
The six-foot-four, 195-pound forward has scored 46 goals and added 53 assists in 211 AHL games. he was drafted by the Rangers in the third round, 65th overall, of the 2013 NHL draft.
Tambellini's father, Steve, played 553 career NHL games with the New York Islanders, Colorado, New Jersey, Calgary and Vancouver and spent five years as general manager of the Edmonton Oilers.
His brother, Jeff, played 242 games with Los Angeles, the Islanders, and Vancouver.
