A look at the 2022 Toronto Arrows rugby squad

TORONTO — The Toronto Arrows open their fourth Major League Rugby season Sunday at the Seattle Seawolves. A look at the Arrows:

Last Year: Based out of Marietta, Ga., due to pandemic-related travel restrictions, the team went 5-11-0.

Home Opener: April 2 against Rugby ATL at York Lions Stadium. The Arrows are hosting the defending champion Los Angeles Giltinis on Feb. 11 in Langford, B.C.

Head Coach: Peter Smith takes over after three years as an assistant. Chris Silverthorn, who had coached the team in his role as director of rugby, is now director of player development.

New Faces: Forwards Kyle Baillie, Lolani Faleiva, Sam Mace, James O'Neill, Isaac Salmon, Taitusa Vikilani and Bryce Worden and backs Cole Brown, Brandan Ferguson, Matt Hood, Conor McCann, Andrew Norton, Dennon Robinson-Bartlett, Ueta Tufuga and Mitch Voralek,.

Moved On: Forwards Gaston Cortes, Manuel Diana, Kolby Francis, Alex Janlin, Pat Lynott and Joe Tomlinson and backs Tayler Adams, Jason Higgins, Leandro Leivas, Alex Russell, Ben LeSage, Manuel Montero, Patrick Parfrey and Joaquin Tuculet.
