Toronto physiotherapist facing charges in alleged youth sex assaults

TORONTO — A Toronto physiotherapist is facing charges after two youths were allegedly sexually assaulted during treatment sessions at centres in the city.

Toronto police allege a man repeatedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl between March 2021 and March 2022 at a rehabilitation clinic he was employed at in the city's midtown.

Investigators allege a man repeatedly sexually assaulted a boy at a different clinic he was working at in North York between November 2013 and June 2015 – they did not provide the youth's age.

A 34-year-old man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference

He is scheduled to appear at a Toronto court on Feb. 21.

Police are asking anyone with information about the two alleged assaults or other allegations to contact them.
