$10,000 reward being offered in connection with Guelph bank heists

Same suspect being sought in two Guelph bank robberies

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for info leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a series of bank heists in the city's south end.

Guelph police and the Canadian Bankers Association (CBA) are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a series of bank robberies in the Stone Road and Scottsdale Drive area of Guelph.

The CBA, through the Guelph Police Service, is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the responsible person.

The suspect is responsible for two bank robberies that occurred on:

  1. December 2, 2020 at approximately 3:50pm
  2. January 8, 2021 at approximately 5:20pm

It is reported each time when the suspect entered the bank, he brandished the same firearm from his backpack, demanded money from the employees and fled the area on foot with a quantity of cash. No one was injured during either robbery.

On December 2nd, 2020, he was wearing a black jacket, grey hooded shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. He was carrying a grey and black backpack.

On January 8th, 2021, he was wearing a black jacket, black hooded shirt, black pants and black shoes. He was carrying a beige or tan backpack.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’6” to 5’9”, medium build, between 30-50 years old.

The investigation is ongoing.
