WEST REGION, ON - A member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has been issued with a Provincial Offences Notice (ticket) under the Highway Traffic Act following a collision on March 7, 2019.
Investigation revealed that the officer was stopped behind another vehicle at the intersection of Wellington Road 17 and Highway 6 in a marked cruiser.
The officer proceeded forward and struck the rear of the vehicle in front. Neither driver was injured during the collision, however both vehicles received minor reportable damage.
As a result of the collision, Provincial Constable Christine Millson, a 12 year member of the OPP has been charged with Start from Stopped Position-Not in Safety.
