Guelph police are investigating after an estimated $20,000 worth of wire and equipment was stolen on the weekend from a business in the city’s south end.

Police were called Saturday morning to a business in the area of Downey Road and Hanlon Creek Boulevard. Six shipping containers were entered overnight by cutting off heavy padlocks. It is unknown at this time how many suspects were involved but it is believed a vehicle was used due to the quantity of items stolen.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Denver Staines at 519-824-1212, ext. 7166, email him at [email protected], leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
