The suspect was later identified as a past acquaintance.

Wellington County OPP has charged 65-year-old Michael Katarincic of Erin with criminal harassment contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on Oct. 23, 2018 to answer to the charge.

Katarincic turned himself in to Wellington County OPP.

OPP would like to remind everyone that criminal harassment is the repeated, unwanted communication with someone that causes them to fear for their safety. This communication could be in person or via phone calls, emails, texting, social media applications or any other medium. If you or someone else you know feels that they are being harassed, please contact police. Living in fear is no way to live.
