COUNTY OF WELLINGTON - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has provided the results from the Civic Holiday Long Weekend Traffic Safety Enforcement Initiative that ran from July 31, 2020 through to Aug. 3, 2020.
Wellington County OPP members laid 99 charges including:
- Speeding - 59
- Stunt driving - Nine
- Seatbelts - Nine
- Impaired driving (alcohol) - Two
"We thank all the motorists who do their part by making the conscious effort to respect and obey all the traffic laws. We will continue to conduct strict enforcement in Wellington County with the goal of making our roads the safest in the province". Wellington County OPP, Traffic Management Unit Manager, Sgt.
