An Acton male who police allege urged a witness to change her story in court has been arrested for obstructing justice.

Last Thursday the male was released on bail from a Guelph court on several criminal charges. He was placed on conditions, including one banning him from contacting several people involved in the case.

On Tuesday afternoon the male called one of the parties and asked her to change her story or he could go to jail.

A 42-year-old Acton male is charged with obstructing justice and failing to comply with a release order. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
