A Guelph man likely had some explaining to do this weekend, after police seized his mother’s car after he was reportedly driving while prohibited.
Police stopped a vehicle at about 3:45 p.m. on Friday after the officer’s automated licence plate reader flagged a vehicle associated with a prohibited driver.
The officer spoke to the man behind the wheel and reportedly confirmed his licence is suspended due to a previous impaired driving conviction.
A 46-year-old man is charged with driving while prohibited.
The vehicle, which is registered to his mother, was seized for 45 days.
