Saturday at 7:20 p.m., police say an adult female was walking near the intersection of Stone Road West and Scottsdale Drive while waving around a black folding knife.

She allegedly approached an unknown adult male who was seated on a bicycle. She then proceeded to accuse him of cutting her off, stabbed the front tire of the bicycle and threw the knife at him while the blade was open. The knife missed him, she picked it up and continued walking.

The female attended to a nearby commercial parking lot and used the knife to make two scratches along the sides of a parked motor vehicle. The scratches were 30 cm and 15 cm in length.

She then attended to another nearby commercial parking lot and used the knife to scratch the hood of a second parked motor vehicle. The scratch was 45 cm in length.

Police located her in the area and she was subsequently arrested.

A 28-year-old female from Guelph-Eramosa Township has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon and two counts of mischief under $5,000.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
