An Arthur female faces charges after two reported hit and run collisions Thursday.

Approximately 9 a.m., two vehicles were stopped in a construction zone on Victoria Road North near Cassino Avenue in Guelph when they were struck from behind. The driver of the suspect vehicle made eye contact with one of the other drivers and appeared to mouth the words “I’m sorry” before fleeing at a high rate of speed. No injuries were reported.

The suspect vehicle was observed to speed through a residential area at more than twice the speed limit and drive through two stop signs.

Responding officers located the vehicle nearby and conducted a traffic stop.

An 18-year-old is charged with failing to stop at a collision and dangerous driving.
