Assault on police and tire balancing equipment stolen

In unrelated incidents police were assaulted by a woman at Guelph General Hospital and a Speedvale Avenue business broken in to.

Assault

On Dec. 25, 2018 at approximately 3:15 a.m., Guelph police were called to the area of Guelph General Hospital, where staff were reporting a female causing a disturbance.

Police located and spoke with the female. At one point, the female is alleged to have become physically aggressive with a police officer. Caroline Bouma, a 34-year-old Courtice, Ontario female, was arrested and charged with assault police and uttering threats.

She was given a February 12, 2019 court date.

Break and Enter

On Dec. 24, 2018, Guelph police were called to a Speedvale Avenue business, where there was a report of a break and enter. The business was broken into sometime overnight and equipment related to tire balancing was taken. Video shows there are four suspects involved.
