On July 15, 2017, in the early afternoon hours, after a pursuit with members of the Ontario Provincial Police Caledon Township, Justin Schlitz was arrested and charged with several criminal offences, including flight from police and dangerous driving.

At this time Justin Schlitz is being held on charges with the Ontario Provincial Police. In the near future he will be brought to Guelph to answer to several charges relating to incidents that have taken place here in the city in the past few weeks. The charges in Guelph will also include flight from police and dangerous driving.

In the evening hours of July 15, Jaspal Sidhu was arrested by members of the Toronto Police and transported to Guelph. Jaspal Sidhu is currently being held for a bail hearing facing several charges including flight from police and dangerous driving.

Both Schlitz and Sidhu are alleged to have stolen high end motor vehicles and have fled from police in different jurisdictions. Guelph Police never pursued for more than a few seconds over concerns of public safety.

Guelph Police would like to thank the Ontario Provincial Police and the Toronto Police Service for assisting in this investigation. Guelph Police would also like to thank everyone that helped spread the word on social media. This investigation was brought to a conclusion without any injuries.
