Break-in sees property stolen, property left behind

Guelph police are investigating after a home was entered Saturday while the owners had gone out.

Just after 4 p.m. police say they were called to a home near Edinburgh Road South and Waterloo Avenue. The owners had gone out approximately three hours earlier and came home to find several windows had been smashed.

Property including prescription medication, clothing and an Audi key fob were reported missing. The suspect also left behind property including clothing, boots and a credit card.

The stolen property is valued at approximately $500 to $1,000 while damage is estimated at $2,000 to $4,000.
