A factory break-in last month, which saw machine parts taken, has resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old Guelph man.

The incident happened early in the morning on June 28 at a business in the area of Massey Road and Elmira Road North. As explained in a police news release, two males entered the building through an unlocked contractor door, took parts and left through the same door about 15 minutes later.

One of the men was identified due to “previous interaction” and was arrested on Tuesday. He’s charged with break and enter.

A second suspect remains on the loose as the investigation continues.

Anyone with information about the break-in or the identify of the second suspect is asked to call Const. Geoff Hiebert at 519-824-1212 ext. 7290 or email [email protected]. Details can also be left anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.csgw.tips.
