A Guelph male is facing a threats charge following investigation of a video posted recently to social media.
On Dec. 12, members of the Guelph Police Services General Investigations Unit began an investigation involving the video, which depicted a male threatening an individual and further conveying racist ideology.
As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Guelph male was charged on Friday with uttering a threat to cause death. He will appear in bail court Tuesday. It is important to note that hate and/or bias has been recognized by police as a contributing factor in this case.
