Chatsworth woman accused of driving more than 60 km/h over posted speed limit

She was clocked at 115 km/h in a 50 km/h zone

TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON - On Saturday, April 13, 2019, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 7, Rothsay, Ont. 

The officer observed a silver sports utility vehicle (SUV) travelling above the posted 50 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 115 km/h.

Charged is Samantha Jo Trimble, 24 years old of Chatsworth, with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on June 5, 2019. Her driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

On Saturday, April 20, 2019, at approximately 7:30 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on The Hanlon Expressway Guelph, Ontario. The officer observed a white van travelling above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 130 km/h.

Charged is Fuman C. Pun, 55-years-old of Brampton, with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on June 5, 2019. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

Charged is Ruben Santos, 30-years-old of Ottawa, with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on June 5, 2019. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
