Cherished family heirloom stolen in break-in

Guelph police are investigating after a large amount of property, including a ring with great sentimental value, was stolen from a downtown apartment over the Christmas holiday.

Officers were called Tuesday evening to an apartment unit on Wyndham Street North where the tenants reported they just got home and discovered items missing.

Stolen property included video game systems and accessories, a tablet and jewellery including the tenant’s grandmother’s wedding ring on a gold chain.
