Close call for driver in car/snow plow collision

A Waterloo man escaped injury when he hit a snow plow early Friday morning.

A Waterloo man was lucky to escape serious injury after a collision with a snowplow early Friday which partially tore the roof off his car.

Approximately 1:35 a.m. police were called to Elmira Road North and Malcolm Road after a passenger car collided with a snowplow.

The driver of the car, an 18-year-old Waterloo man, was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He has been charged with careless driving.
